You need to see The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Not gonna spoil anything, but the movie pays so much homage to the various games throughout the series. From the environment to the soundtrack to even brief exchanges, all knitted into the plot in a surprisingly organic way, the film crew really put so much love and, by extension, research into the project and really made the movie an experience to remember.
Some say that the barrage of references are gimmicky and alienating (instead of the movie holding your hand concerning what is what, it assumes your knowledge of the Mario Bros. universe), but really, I would call this one of the film's strongest points. This unspoken fluency rewards you for your insight, and while watching it in theaters, I found myself appreciating this much more than I thought I would. It really is a Mario film made for Mario fans.
It came out April 5th. You still got time, dudes.

Ya know, I kinda wanna do a sort of birthday bash for one of my OCs at some point. Like a drawing every day for a week leading up to their birthday or maybe starting on their birthday. The whole drawathon concept other artists have done seems interesting, but I think I'll save that endeavor for another time. I've been preoccupied with other matters as of late, and I don't see things slowing down anytime soon.
Dunno, just a thought that came to me.
