Well, now that all my other personal Halloween stuff's out of the way (the big stuff, anyways), time to get crackin' on this year's grand Halloween picture. I finished brainstorming, but really, I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking about it. I can remember last year's Halloween all too well.....Good lord....

Also, I found this rotation control thing in Krita. Bottom right, looks like a gauge. This would've been quite useful to even consider using ages ago, let alone finding. Either way, this could make adding a dash of dynamic a lot easier. Reflecting a bit on the second Ellygance picture here.

It just occurred to me that August has really been about, well, August.

Four new followers (apparently all within the span of a day)

Losing the battle but winning the war, if I've ever seen an example.

Seems like videos have much higher visibility on these parts, judging by the view count raked up by a nobody like me. I'm guessing this is because such content generally takes longer to make, thus being posted less frequently, thus not being bogged down by new posts, thus remaining visible for longer. That's my take on the situation, anyways.

Note to self: video posts are high risk, high reward. Also, tough crowd.

Looking at my recent works, this summer really has been quite a time of experimentation, hasn't it?

Oh shit, I just realized I forgot Elly's birthmark in Ellynoco Flow.

Even considering the change in style, I always thought something felt "off" about her appearance, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I'm surprised it didn't hit me sooner. Then again, this seems to be the first time I've ever forgotten adding the birthmark to either of them. I'm usually very good about remembering that.

Now that the detail grabbed my eye, it really just doesn't look right. Oh well. Keep moving forward.

Recently heard that Roe v. Wade got overturned.

I'm not one who cares for a relationship, but I'm still pretty bummed out to think about how such restrictions to abortions would affect romantic and sexual relations between couples.

To clarify on the situation, this doesn't make abortion illegal automatically, but now the default federal-level guarantee for abortion rights has been cancelled out; the final say now goes to the states, and it would appear that many of them are ready to ban or restrict it at a moment's notice.

There are protests across the US, so that gives me some comfort to see that people will not take this sitting down, but the future overall seems quite grim. And frankly, it grieves me greatly to think that people have to sacrifice themselves to shield or further a cause.

The fight for abortion rights isn't over, but I have a feeling that things are going to get very ugly very quickly.
