Hey, figured I'd give you guys an artist update; you all know I do something for this holiday. I'm currently working on three Halloween pictures. One chibi-ish one which I'll post in the next day or so (Pre-Halloween) and two normal pics I'll post on the day of Halloween (Trick-or-Treating and Post-Halloween/Post-Comic). The first one will be easy. The latter two, however, I've been having trouble getting the proportions right with the line art. Things seem to be going fairly smoothly otherwise.

Also, hope you peeps are staying safe. Good luck trying to figure out alternative activities for Halloween night. As for me? I'm just gonna buy a bag of Halloween candy and look up some scary stories on YouTube. Those things can run for a good half hour per vid. An option to consider, perhaps?

I've been working on one final summer pic for roughly two weeks now featuring August. It's almost ready. Expect the art post tonight. I may or may not do a quick post-comic. Either way, the Fall intro pic takes precedence (first day of fall is September 22, by the way). Anyways, stay tuned.

I'm not gonna go too into detail, but revealing August's birthday pic for this year is something I'm SUPER looking forward to....

I've been thinking about the Summer 2020 starter pic I drew. It came out pretty awesome and it only took me four hours to make from start to finish.

I decided that I'm gonna do a timed drawing of August:

Tomorrow for four hours nonstop from start to finish. I already have a pose in mind.

I wanna see what kind of work I can really do.

I've been taking a break from Elly's picture, chipping in bursts of effort here and there for the past two weeks.

I decided that I'm gonna focus on the summer starter pick for tomorrow. Elly's picture can wait.

I wanna enjoy the nice weather and I'm not gonna crunch time just to put out poor results.

I plan on making the summer pic simple, too. It's gonna be related to the same hot springs....I know exactly what I wanna do. Some of you will appreciate the shout out.

To close the night, I'm gonna watch Sharknado 2: The Second One. By the way, I'm not just acknowledging that it's a sequel, that's the actual title of the movie.

Anyways, 'night bitches.

It's been a while. Well, here's what's on my plate:

1---I am working on (read: have been working on) a Post-Comic of August's hot springs picture. Colored, lengthy, and it features all three of us. I'm adding the final tweaks which are repetitive and numerous. Perfecting the actual gif animation will likely take one to two hours. If I am lucky I hope to get it all done withing the next two days.

2---I'm working on a picture of Elly in the same hot springs. Currently polishing the line art. Light sources are from the deck and the moon, which should indicate the difficulty of shading. Coloring of any sort has yet to begin.

3---The seasonal picture I compel myself to do but haven't even conjured an idea for. Nothing has been done, period.

Three projects all done on or before the 20th--the first day of summer. Can I do it? I know that this is a super hefty update and pretty out of the blue, but with the post-comic being an on and off project (and a large one at that), I kinda lost my sense of time. It just occurred to me that summer is super close. I have yet to miss a season.....I'vebeentardyonceortwicebutthat'sbesidethepoint.

I was watching Wise Man's Grandchild, and at the beginning of the series--roughly two or three episodes in--there's this royal character named August, so I got a quick chuckle out of that.

So at Episode 8 we meet August's fiancee....her name was Elly.

It was such a beautiful moment for me.

I kind of regret waiting until I finished the series to tell you guys, but I decided I couldn't pass this up. Also, nice series by the way. One of those "MC is OP" kind of situations, but the story puts notable emphasis on the MC's relationship with others rather than just having him one-hit everything that stands in his way. He's daft, but it plays on that in a charming way. Also, it's explained in a plausible way (i.e. the dumbass who raised him taught him all sorts of magic but didn't teach him shit about basic life skills.)

Anyways, hope everything's going great with you guys. I plan on having a pic of August (MY August) up within a week. Later.
